Enabling Assessment Service London

Easl’s input is focussed on

  • Consultation, advice and identification of potential referrals for assessment;
  • Client assessment and recommendations about appropriate care pathways; developing strategies for staff on how to respond to hostel residents with complex behaviours in order to improve client engagement and outcomes;
  • Structured training, advice, support and supervision for staff teams, supporting the development of psychologically informed environments.

Easl is developing an evaluation model as part of this project to explore both the impact on outcomes of direct input during the period of the project, and to elucidate how process and system change can be brought about and sustained.

Easl has been commissioned by Westminster City Council to deliver a 12 month pilot project aimed at improving outcomes for homeless people with complex needs, working with the boroughs’ Single Homeless Rough Sleepers’ Hostels.
